**Meet Hershey!**

Hershey is a 7-month-old Miniature Australian Shepherd weighing 15 pounds. This sweet young boy is still learning that the world can be a safe place and is looking for a patient, understanding family who will help him build confidence at his own pace.

Hershey is still a very nervous puppy and will need adopters who understand that trust takes time. He is looking for a family who will allow him to settle in gradually, providing gentle encouragement, consistency, and positive experiences as he continues to learn about the world around him.

Because Hershey is still a puppy, he will also need a family committed to helping him grow into a well-rounded companion through proper training, socialization, and continued confidence-building. Puppies require time, patience, consistency, and guidance, and Hershey is looking for a family dedicated to helping him succeed.

Because Hershey takes comfort and guidance from other dogs, he requires a home with another confident, dog-social canine already in the household. Having a canine companion will help him feel secure, provide a positive role model, and continue building his confidence.

Hershey also requires a securely fenced yard where he can safely run, play, and explore while continuing to gain confidence in his surroundings.

A required in-person meet and greet at our shelter is part of the adoption process to help ensure a good fit for both Hershey, any resident dogs, and his potential adopters.

With patience, understanding, and the support of a confident canine companion, Hershey has all the potential to blossom into a wonderful companion. He is looking for a family who will celebrate every milestone and help him continue discovering that the world is a safe and happy place.
