Operation Freedom Ride
RescueOperation Freedom Ride is a Rochester, NY-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue dedicated to saving the lives of homeless dogs and cats. As a 100% volunteer-run, foster-based organization, we rescue animals from local shelters, owner surrenders, and overcrowded southern shelters, providing them with the medical care, love, and support they need until they find their forever homes. Through adoption, fostering, volunteering, and community partnerships, we're committed to giving every animal a second chance and helping build a more compassionate community.

Every year 2.7 million adoptable dogs and cats are killed by euthanasia in the US. It's our mission to help these loving animals find the right person to love and care for them. We founded our organization out of a passion to do something about this problem and the joy of seeing new bonds created. Together we can make an incredible difference.
