Founded in 1874, Charleston Animal Society is South Carolina’s oldest animal welfare organization and a national leader in lifesaving. Through its programs, public-private partnerships, and leadership of No Kill South Carolina, the organization works to prevent cruelty to animals, reduce overpopulation, and build stronger, more humane communities.
