As a part of the Quality of Life City, the mission of Hurst Animal Services is to nurture an interlocking relationship with our surrounding community by promoting safety for our citizens and animals, offering temporary care and safe shelter for lost and homeless animals of Hurst, treating animals in our care with dignity and compassion, and striving to find loving homes for adoptable shelter pets. Additionally, we seek to provide resources and educational support to assist pet owners in caring for their animal companions and to inform citizens on how to respect and co-exist with our wildlife neighbors.

Hurst Animal Services is a public safety-first unit of the Hurst Police Department. We strive to provide education to the public and ensure the safety of both humans and animals alike. Our staff is dedicated to our mission and to compassionate care of all animals in our care.
