Our Mission

To provide temporary shelter to stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals for the purpose of finding permanent suitable new homes. To provide assistance and financial aid to prevent overpopulation through spaying and neutering programs. To support a healthy pet community and responsible animal husbandry by providing reasonably cost general veterinary services, as well as low/no cost general veterinary services to those unable to afford care for their pets. To provide low/no cost general veterinary services to animal control agencies, animal shelters and rescues. To establish cross-referral networks with local “for profit” veterinary doctors and clinics. To provide assistance and information to others whose purposes are consistent with the purpose of Second Chance Animal Services, Inc.

About Us

We helped 0ver 64,000 animals last year. This is both a celebration of our work and a testament to the great need in our community. 44238 Pets Cared for by 4 Community Veterinary Hospitals. Four Community Veterinary Hospitals provided care for pets with nowhere else to turn. 8747 Low-Cost Spay & Neuter Surgeries We are now the largest low-cost spay & neuter services provider in Central & Western Massachusetts. 1287 Pets Found a New Loving Home Our shelter welcomed homeless pets in our community and through our nationally recognized animal relocation program…and found them new homes. 18611 Pets Fed so No Pet Goes Hungry We helped struggling pet owners to feed their pets by distributing pet food to 24 human food pantries.
