Everglades Angels Dog Rescue is a NonProfit 100% Volunteer organization to end the suffering of thousands of abandoned pet dogs, feral and breeding packs of dogs, by physical rescue & rehoming.
Our mission is to end the suffering of thousands of abandoned pet, feral and breeding packs of dogs, by physical rescue, from rural and remote areas of Florida. Our goal is to treat the rescued dogs medically, including sterilization and microchip identification. Also, to provide psychological training and placement in qualified homes. The rescue dogs homing procedure encompass's verification by home check of adopter, vet treatment verification of current pets, and in person interview, as well as meeting between future adopter and the rescue dog. Also, to verify current pets in the home will be compatible, prior to finalization of adoption. Adoption of a healthy well adjusted dog is vital to our mission in preventing future abandonment. The current battle to decrease the ever growing abandonment of pets and proliferation of breeding packs is an immense project. These dogs numbers are multiplying by thousands weekly. We are dedicated to creating innovative projects and attending events to fund our mission. Educating the public by circulating written information, visiting community centers and speaking with locals in remote areas of Florida. To bring awareness of the tragedy of abandonment, for the day of dumping, onset of starvation and dehydration, infestation by parasites, torture of biting mosquitoes, ticks and snakes and death by ingestion, by other wildlife or reptiles. Our organization is unique because our dedication is to the truly in need, with no shelter, food and basic chance of survival. We seek out the tortured, sick and debilitated dogs, in the most remote areas of Florida, to end suffering and proliferation of dogs, not indigenous to these areas.
About Us
Everglades Angels Dog Rescue (EADR) is a no-kill, all-volunteer 501(c)(3) dog rescue serving South Florida from our home base, Angels Haven, in Fort Lauderdale. We rescue dogs facing euthanasia, abandonment, or dangerous conditions and give them a path forward - through foster care, medical treatment, training, and ultimately, adoption into loving homes. Every dog in our care is looked after entirely by volunteers who show up because they believe in second chances. From senior dogs to bonded pairs to pups needing a little extra patience, we're committed to finding the right match for every Angel Dog.

Adoption Process
1) Figure out what you want in a dog - your expectations, time, space, and household needs.
2) Fall in love - browse our Available Dogs. It's okay to love more than one - we'll help you find your best match.
3) Fill out an application - including info on current household pets, and any specific Angels you'd like to meet.
4) Application evaluation - our adoption coordination team reviews everything, checks housing and references as needed, then schedules your meet.
5) Get together - meets are pivotal, and there's always at least one. Households with existing pets may need a few, from Angel Dog + people, to introductions with pets at our facility, to a home meet.
6) Welcome home Angel - after a final home check, your Angel Dog comes home! Our post-adoption team follows up to help with any adjustments, and dogs with behavioral training get a session with our trainer to keep their plan on track.

Puppies under 1 year old: $400
Adults age 1-7 years: $300
Seniors 8+ years: $200

How to Meet Our Pets
Meets with our Angel Dogs are scheduled by appointment once your adoption application has been reviewed and approved. Depending on the dog and your household, this may include a meet at our facility, a home visit, and introductions with any current pets.

Special Programs & Areas Served
Special Programs: EADR has built a network of partnerships that directly expand our capacity to save lives. Dolly's Dream sponsors adoption fees for our pit bull and bully breed dogs - a group that often waits longest for homes - making adoption more accessible for the right families. We were honored to receive the Petfinder Foundation's 2026 Operations Funding Grant and actively compete in the My Giving Circle grant program to secure additional funding. EADR also takes part in Clear the Shelters, the national month-long adoption campaign, and hosts community events at partner venues like Scoopy Doo's in Delray Beach.
