The DFW Humane Society is a no-kill, non-profit animal welfare organization dedicated to giving homeless and unwanted pets a second chance through adoption.

Adoptions

Adoptions are able to be completed same day. We invite interested adopters to come and meet the pets they are interested in adoption. Our team will provide adoption counseling to make sure it is a good fit. All pets come with age appropriate vetting. This means that pets may require boosters or further care if they are not yet old enough. We do offer a foster-do-adopt program for pets over 6 months of age. This is a 2 week foster period where people can make sure each pet is the right fit prior to adoption. The pet remains the property of DFW Humane Society at this time and only transfers ownership once the adoption is finalized.
