Our Mission

I am the Publications Manager for the City of Pasadena, managing web/electronic and print publications. I am the usual contract point when departments want to implement new software applications that are IT-centric but rather end user. In addition, I am a member of Pets & People Alliance, an organization begun about 12 years ago by the present mayor to assist the shelter through fund raising that enables the City shelter to expand their assistance to animals. PPA is made up primarily of City employees, with other interested parties.

Services We Offer

Adoptions, Medical Care

Adoption Process

The City has an extensive interview process to make sure the folks involved are committed to any animal they might select. Application includes descriptions of conditions that are in the home, number and age of children, time that can be devoted to the animal, etc. Any one who specifies the pet is to be outdoor only is automatically disqualified.

The City shelter charges $97 for either dogs or cats for spay/neuter services, vaccinations and ID chip implant before release.
