Our Mission
OBG Cocker Rescue was established in 1996 and rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes cockers, spaniel mixes and honorary cockers. We rely on a network of foster homes - we do not have a shelter facility. In 2009 we placed over 330 in adoptive homes, in 2010 we placed 300. All animals are spayed/neutered, UTD on shots, major medical taken care of (ACL, cataract surgery, glaucoma, cherry eye, ear issues etc). We have approximately 200 volunteers (probably half are active) and 100 dogs in our care.

Areas Served: We are based in the metro DC area, but serve the mid-Atlantic. We have had intakes or adoptions from 15+ states in the last 3 years, but primarily serve VA, MD, DC, PA, WV, NC, SC, NJ and GA.
