Say hello to Mario, a handsome 1-year-old BoxerMutt with a heart as big as his breed! Weighing in at a perfect 40 pounds [although he is a puppy and puppies grow ;)], Mario is a strong, sweet, and incredibly resilient young dog who’s ready to find his forever family.
Mario came to us from a difficult situation, rescued as part of a cruelty case with ten other dogs. But despite his rough start, he’s shown nothing but an amazing capacity for love and gentleness. He’s has been friendly with cats, kids, and other dogs, making him a wonderful potential addition to almost any family.
Mario is a joy to be around. He walks beautifully on a leash and is easy to handle in every way. He’s a quiet and affectionate boy who simply craves a safe, loving home where he can leave his past behind and finally be surrounded by care and kindness.
This wonderful boy is already neutered, up-to-date on all his vaccines (Rabies, Bordetella, and DHLPP), microchipped, and heartworm negative. All he needs now is you!

Adoption Process:
Potential adopters must complete an adoption application. We require veterinarian information and complete a veterinary reference check. We also require three personal references. In addition, if the potential adopter rents their home, we require landlord information to verify any pet restrictions.Mission Statement:
Our mission at Mikaela’s Mutt Motel is to rescue stray, neglected, and unwanted dogs. We foster our rescues providing love, care, and training until they are prepared for adoption into the families they deserve.
