Description

Meet Maggie!

Mixed breed | About 10 months old | 28 lbs

Looking for a true sweetheart to complete your family? Look no further than Maggie Moo! This lovely girl is as gentle as they come and eager to please—she thrives on love and affection.

Maggie is housebroken (with frequent bathroom breaks), crate-trained, and sleeps soundly through the night. She’s made amazing progress in her foster home and is really coming out of her shell! One of her biggest joys in life is being around other dogs—being part of a pack has truly helped her build confidence.

While she’s a bit shy around cats (okay… she’s a little afraid!), with proper introductions, we’re confident she can get along with just about anyone. Maggie warms up beautifully and shows her sweet, friendly nature. She really just wants to be loved—and to love you back tenfold.

She will need to continue working on her training, but with consistency and encouragement, she’s sure to keep blossoming into the wonderful companion she’s meant to be.

If you’re looking for a gentle soul who’s ready to grow in a loving home, Maggie Moo could be your perfect match. Come meet her—you’ll fall in love!

Our standard adoption fee is $375 if paid by cash or check, or $385 if paid by credit card (which includes a $10 processing fee). This fee covers spay/neuter surgery when age appropriate at one of our participating veterinarians, age-appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative, and microchipping.

In order to be considered for adoption, we require a fully completed application, a phone interview, and a meet-and-greet with your entire family. Please note that submitting an application does not commit you to adopting and does not guarantee approval—it simply allows us to begin the review process.

If you are interested in adopting or would like additional information, please email us at [email protected] to request an application.

Keep in mind that the breed and size listed in each dog's biography are our best educated guesses and are not guaranteed.

Safe Haven Dog Rescue reserves the right to refuse the adoption of any dog or puppy to any applicant for any reason.

  • Mission Statement:

Safe Haven Dog Rescue was created by volunteers to rescue, rehabilitate, and find loving homes for homeless dogs and puppies. The majority of our dogs and puppies are rescued from Kill Pounds and Shelters. We are all foster based, meaning we do not have an actual “shelter”. We work very hard to find local rescue groups within these states to pull the dogs into their program while we coordinate transportation and placement into foster homes. We are dedicated to disclosing everything we know about the dogs in our program to potential adopters. Sometimes we know a lot but, often we know only that they were strays, thrown away on the side of the road, in the woods, or found in abandoned houses. While we don’t always know their past we are certain that by rescuing and finding them loving homes, we will make sure their future is much brighter. We hope that you and your family will be part of their future….  Foster Homes Always Needed! While you foster, we pay all expenses from vetting, to food and we provide a crate, leash, collars, and toys. Your family provides love (something they desperately need!) and a safe place for the dog or puppies until they find their forever homes. We also require that you have the ability to take these pups to routine veterinary visits at our participating vets. These vets are located in St. Charles, Naperville, and Elmhurst. Please email [email protected] for a foster application or additional details.
