Description
Raider is a seven month old, neutered lab mix. Raider was originally brought into our city location on March 18th by our Animal Cruelty Taskforce after he was rescued from an animal hoarding situation. On May 19th, Raider was transferred to the Maryland Heights location. Raider has a lot of puppy energy and would do best in an active household. He is smart and would benefit from some reward based training classes to learn some basic obedience and manners. Since Raiders previous living environment was not a normal home setting, we are not sure how he would do with other pets. Raider has shown some food guarding behavior around other dogs, so he will need to be fed separately from other pets. We always recommend slow and supervised introductions to children and other animals. Raider is available for adoption or to foster through our Home Enrichment Foster Program. Fostering Raider would allow him to get a break from the shelter, while remaining available in a home setting.
