LAS VEGAS, NV- MALE CHOW OR CHOW X PUPPY “OZZIE” IN NEED OF A LOVING, RESPONSIBLE HOME W/ BREED EXPERIENCE/PRIOR OWNERSHIP, people and dog friendly
Please help us find a loving, responsible home for adorable Ozzie, an approximate 5 month old puppy said to be born on 11/25/24.
A Good Samaritan took him in and got him vaccinated and neutered after seeing him being given away, but wanting him to go to the right home. The person originally giving him away was older and said he did not have time for a puppy, but said he had gotten him from someone in Arizona, gave his birthdate, and said he was purebred with parents in the 50 lb range.
However, it is possible Ozzie may be mixed given his black nose on a cream chow which is unusual, as well as slightly longer legs. Ozzie weighs 35 lbs already, so he may grow to be on the larger size, if his birthdate is correct.
The Good Samaritan has now had Ozzie for about a month, and says, "Ozzie is good with other dogs, very friendly with people. I don't have any small kids or cats, but he did see a couple cats while at the hospital and don't see any reaction."
She also reports he is "Completely potty trained, does well in a crate " and disclosed no medical or behavior issues. He is at a home currently with other female and male dogs, and likes to play with one of the males. However, if you do have another pet, a meet and greet is strongly recommended. And any new dog in a home, and particularly as chow grows up, their personality with others and other dogs may also change, Early and continued socialization with both is important.

Sorry, we do not do transport to private homes unless a rescue is involved due to risks of a home or dog not working out for any reason.
All adopters will be asked for a home check (which may be virtual), an application, a vet reference, proof of prior or current chows, and a signed adoption contract.
