Description

Cobba is a handsome, neutered black Lab who is about 2 years old. He's on the smaller size for a Lab, weighing about 68 lbs. This boy wants to be part of an active family, with children who are older because he’s got lots of energy (although he’s pretty mellow most of the time). Cobba is very friendly with people, and is dog selective and not good with cats, so he may do best in a home without other pets. He follows his foster mom everywhere she goes and lays down beside her. This guy is a Super Chewer who needs hard nylon toys vs. softies. Cobba is literally obsessed with balls and carries one around at all times. He’s currently learning to master off-leash recall (and it helps if there’s a ball involved!). He is house-trained, crate-trained, and is Very smart. He knows Sit, Here, Down, and is working on going into his crate on command. He would love to play hide-and-seek games, as his nose is amazingly sensitive. Cobba rides in the car very well, often just laying down in the back seat. He needs a traditionally-fenced yard to curb his wanderlust. He walks fairly well on-leash, pulling only if his nose finds something needing further investigation. He’s being fostered in Wausau, WI.

Adopting a Lab can be a wonderful experience. Your new dog will need lots of love, adequate exercise and attention. Keep in mind that dog ownership may include additional costs for training, grooming, and health care beyond annual vaccines and monthly preventatives. It’s a lifetime commitment!
