MY STORY: Sparky came to us from an Alabama shelter. He is a 1 year old basset hound who is as cute as can be! Sparky is an adorable, quirky looking boy with the biggest soft ears!
Out on walks, Sparky is calm and composed, even around passing cars. He's food motivated, making him a great candidate for training - he already knows "sit" and "come" and is eager to please. He is eager for attention and will get as close to your face as he can to give kisses and snuggle into your arms. He may not be the biggest fan of bath time, but he's a real champ about it - he was especially well-behaved during towel drying, even when it came to his feet and ears.
Sparky initiates play with the other dogs and loves running around & wrestling with his buddies. He loves playing with other dogs and can be rough, so if another dog is in the home, another rougher player would be best.
Sparky truly shines when he's spending time one-on-one. His sweet nature really comes through when he's with someone he trusts. He's the kind of dog who bonds closely and offers quiet loyalty in return.

To adopt the FIRST STEP is to complete an APPLICATION.
Adopters must be 24 years of age. We can not adopt to families with children under the age of six. We also only adopt in WI, IL, and parts of MN. Most of our dogs are strays, so the breed is our best guess.
