<p>At first glance, you will likely notice Vlad's gorgeous all-black coat, but his purr-sonality is even more priceless!</p><p>
</p><p>He may be perceived as shy when first meeting him, but he desperately wants to be around you. Vlad's favorite way to show affection toward his human companions is by sitting on their lap or laying on their chest, purring loudly, making biscuits on their face, and licking their nose. Vlad LOVES noses so much that he sometimes cannot help but give them a little nibble. We are working to deter this by making a "tss!" sound when the teeth come out and keeping him lower on our chests. Thankfully, he is starting to understand!</p><p>
</p><p>Despite his affinity for lounging in your lap and on your chest, Vlad is still learning to be held. At times, he can be picked up like a baby and given pets, but sometimes he will struggle a bit. Interestingly, he will push against you while attempting to escape your grasp, but he does not use his claws. Once back on solid ground, he occasionally gives a single hiss, but then immediately continues seeking full-body pets (yes - belly too!) and play. </p><p>
</p><p>Even quirkier than his obsession with noses, Vlad is an extraordinarily chatty man who likes the sound of his own voice, even when he doesn't need anything. We joke that he is exploring his space through echolocation. </p><p>
</p><p>When his humans aren't around, Vlad usually lounges on the bed, showing off the rich brown color his coat becomes when illuminated by sunlight. </p><p>
</p><p>Vlad has been offered both wet and dry food; however, he seems to have little to no interest in dry food, opting for an almost entirely wet-food-based diet. He is hoping that his new home would be open to catering to these preferences too. </p><p>
</p><p>Vlad has excellent bathroom manners, takes diligent care of his coat, and does not have any observed health concerns. He was neutered on Wednesday 08/05 and has healed well. </p><p>
</p><p>Vlad would greatly benefit from having a feline friend and seems much more relaxed with some company! Additionally, because he's so loving, we do think Vlad may be good with older children, but likely only those that can understand a little nibble. </p><p>
