Meet Minnie Pearl!

If you're looking for a dog with a big personality packed into a small package, Minnie Pearl is ready to make your acquaintance.
Minnie lives her life according to the important things: food, treats, toys, bones, sunbathing, couch cuddles, sleeping in bed, car rides, and meeting new people. After a good play session and a few impressive zoomies, she's happiest curled up beside her favorite person for a nap.
She absolutely loves the idea of going for a walk. The actual walk? That's still a work in progress. New sounds, busy roads, and windy days can make her nervous, but she's gaining confidence every day with patient guidance. Her foster family has been slowly increasing her walk lengths as she becomes more comfortable exploring the world.

Minnie is energetic, playful, and full of attitude. When excited, she can become mouthy and jumpy during play, so continued training will be beneficial. Luckily, she's highly food-motivated and eager to learn when treats are involved.
She's mostly house-trained, though she may have an occasional accident when she's nervous. She has never had an accident in her crate and settles well each night-after a long protest about how unfair bedtime is.

Minnie has shown no signs of food or resource guarding with people. She has met a few dogs on walks and seems interested in playing, though she hasn't had full introductions in the past.

A note about her dog reactivity:

Minnie was previously adopted and returned because she did not get along with the dog in the home. With proper management and slow, thoughtful introductions, she has shown she can successfully live with another neutral, calm dog. She is currently living in foster with a senior medium-sized dog, and her foster has been diligently working through her reactivity with training and structure.
She has not been tested with cats.

Because of her energetic play style and her need for continued training and confidence-building, Minnie would thrive best with a dog-savvy family and a home without young children. A confident canine companion may help her continue to grow and provide an outlet for her playful energy.

One mystery still remains: what exactly is Minnie Pearl? She looks like a tiny Boxer with the attitude of a French Bulldog. A DNA test has been submitted, and we're all eagerly awaiting the results!

If you're looking for a dog who will make you laugh, fill your home with personality, snuggle up beside you, and reward your patience with endless affection, Minnie Pearl may be the perfect addition to your family.
