Maya is an absolute lovebug and a gorgeous shepherd. She is very friendly with people and wants to live at your feet and be hugged/petted. She is eating well and on a growing diet to help her gain some needed weight back. She is incredibly loyal and smart. Like most female shepherds, she is a problem solver and is working on learning to feel secure in her surroundings. Once she settles in your company, she is a delight to be around. She is starting to decompress outside the shelter environment and show her true personality. She has started working with a trainer for her fear based dog reactions and her leash manners. Maya is also working on feeling safe in her crate. She needs someone dedicated to her continued growth. She has had a rough start in life but she has all the makings to be a perfect adventure buddy and snuggle bug. Has around cat/kids, and will need time before she can meet other dogs but she is showing improvement.
