MEET ZEKE ??

5-year-old neutered male | German Shepherd | Working toward a healthy 70 lbs

Zeke is a super sweet, super smart boy who`s ready to charm his way into a family. Classic Shepherd brains on display here - he takes direction beautifully, already knows sit, down, and come, does amazing in the crate, and walks like a dream on a gentle leader. He`s currently in a board-and-train program polishing up a few more manners, because Zeke believes in bettering himself.

This boy has a lot of life in him. He`s fun, playful, and energetic, with a serious passion for tug-of-war, herding balls (naturally), and puzzle toys that keep that sharp mind busy. He loves frolicking in the play yard, is always up for a car ride, and would make an excellent adventure buddy for someone who likes to be on the move.

Zeke is attentive, engaged, and genuinely tuned in to his people - the kind of dog who checks in with you, not just the squirrels. He seems to be dog-friendly - but as always, intros need to be slow.

He handles baths and the Furme vacuum like an absolute champ, and belly rubs are non-negotiable. Given his size and energy, we think Zeke would do best in a home with older kids. We're not sure how he would be with cats.

Zeke is currently working on gaining some healthy weight and getting the TLC he`s owed - what he needs now is a family willing to invest a little patience and a lot of love while he settles in and thrives.
