Captain

Say hello to the worlds best cuddler, Captain! He is a 4 year old neutered male Husky mix.

Captain came to us from a difficult situation where he wasn't taken care of properly but, he never let that affect his love for people. He is a friend to any and everybody. He's a big fan of cuddling and giving hugs. If he could crawl into your pocket, he would. You are his personal pillow!
He loves to sun bathe at the front door or in the back yard. He couldn't care less once he's in chill mode. He'll lay at the door and ignore anyone who comes up.

Aside from being the worlds biggest cuddle bug, his favorite pass time is looking out of the window as if it is his daily news. He loves to be outside. He zoooooms around the backyard and bounces around. He loves tennis balls that squeak and is OBSESSED with stuffies. He will bring the stuffy to you as a gift when he's excited. He's a great partner for someone who likes to go on adventures and explore.

Although he's not full Husky, the breed really shines through. He howls all of the time. He wants to go outside, he howls. He wants to go inside, he howls. He wants to eat, he howls. He wants attention, he howls. He doesn't even know what he wants, he howls. He's a man of many words! Please be prepared to have full conversations with this dog. This is a requirement!

He lived with a couple other dogs so he can go home with a well matched canine friend or multiple doggy friends. He's very playful but he can be pushy if the other dog isn't wanting to play. Although sometimes pushy, he is able to settle and simply hang out once he realize the dog is uninterested. He sometimes tries to play like he's dominant... he is not. He is a sensitive little baby.

Due to his high prey drive, he would not be compatible in a home with cats. He has been good with young children but he is jumpy and sometimes doesn't realize he is not a chihuahua, so a home with older sturdy dog savvy kids would be a good match.

If you are ready to adopt the best dog ever, please come down to meet him. He is currently in a foster home but once we receive an application, we can move forward with the meet and greet. We are open Tuesday-Sunday between 12-4.
