Palm Valley Animal Society is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal welfare organization based in Edinburg, Texas, serving the Rio Grande Valley through sheltering, adoption, foster care, rescue, transport, wellness, spay/neuter, and educational programs. PVAS operates two centers in Edinburg and provides lifesaving care for animals across municipal partners and Hidalgo County. Founded in 1974, the organization has grown to serve more than 10,000 animals annually while working toward a safer, more humane community for pets and the people who love them.

Service Areas Animal sheltering and municipal services are primarily provided for McAllen, Edinburg, Palmhurst, the City of Hidalgo, and unincorporated Hidalgo County.
