Available for adoption! This handsome German Shepherd came to us alongside his sister, Sofia Vegara, after their owner went out of town for an immigration check and unfortunately never returned home. Antonio was incredibly nervous and overwhelmed when he first arrived at the shelter. He was confused, stressed, and understandably unsure of what was happening to him. Almost a week later, we're starting to see little glimpses of his personality shine through. Antonio enjoys spending time outside and has done well with his current kennel mate, finding some comfort in having another dog around. Because of everything he's been through, Antonio is looking for an experienced German Shepherd owner who understands the breed, can read his body language, and is willing to give him the time and space he needs to decompress and adjust to his new home. Antonio may need some patience in the beginning, but with the right person by his side, we believe he'll continue to blossom into the loyal companion he's meant to be.
