Chica may weigh less than 6 pounds, but this little girl has a personality all her own! At just 3-4 years old, Chica is a beautiful little Chihuahua with a striking black-and-white merle-type coat, graceful manners, and an adorably independent spirit.

Sadly, Chica came to the Humane Society with her very senior brother after being abandoned at a family member's home. Despite that upheaval, Chica has remained a sweet, quiet, and surprisingly easygoing little companion.

And when we say tiny, we mean TINY-Chica literally fits in one hand! When you pick her up, she has the cutest habit of putting her little front paws together and striking a pose, almost as if she's preparing for a perfectly soft and intentional landing. Holding her feels less like carrying a dog and more like gently holding a tiny, furry little bird.

Chica is wonderfully quiet for a Chihuahua and has a healthy independent streak. She doesn't need to be underfoot all day or constantly entertained. Give her a cozy corner, a comfy bed, or a sunny spot, and she'll happily curl up and take a nap without making a fuss. She loves knowing her people are around and enjoys being acknowledged, but she's not demanding about affection. She'll happily curl up beside you when she's in the mood-and if she happens to find a bigger dog she likes, she may even snuggle up with them too!

She's also perfectly happy to be picked up and carried to a warm, snuggly spot. In fact, she seems to understand that sometimes the best place to be is wherever the humans have decided to put her. ❤️

Chica bonds with the people around her but doesn't struggle with being alone, making her a lovely little companion for someone who appreciates a dog with a bit of independence. She's potty trained, gets along beautifully with other dogs, and can even be quite the little instigator when she decides it's time to play!

Chica is the kind of dog who doesn't demand the spotlight-she quietly makes herself at home in your heart. She's tiny, graceful, affectionate on her own terms, wonderfully low-key, and full of little quirks that will make you smile every day.
