Meet Squid!
Squid is a very special kitten with an even more special story. This tiny girl survived severe head trauma as a young kitten and has already overcome more than most cats ever will in a lifetime. When she first arrived at our amazing vet partner, Art City Vets, she was unable to even open her eyes due to significant brain swelling. We truly did not know if she would survive.
But Squid had other plans.
Today, Squid is a playful, curious, and energetic kitten who absolutely loves being part of the action. She may be blind, but that does not slow her down one bit! She has learned to navigate the world in her own unique way and is gaining confidence every single day. She loves toys, exploring, wrestling around, and discovering new sounds and textures.
Squid is currently on anti-seizure medication after experiencing seizures during her recovery, and her future adopter should be prepared to continue working closely with a veterinarian as she grows. While we cannot guarantee what her long-term medical needs may look like, we are incredibly hopeful that she will continue improving with time and care.
Because Squid is blind, she will need a patient and understanding home that can provide a safe and stable environment while she continues learning how to "cat." She may take a little extra guidance compared to a typical kitten, but she makes up for it tenfold with her resilience, spirit, and adorable personality.
Squid is proof that tiny creatures can be unbelievably strong. She has fought so hard to be here, and now she is ready to find a family who will love her exactly as she is.
