❤️ Personality & Breed Information

Dizirella is an adorable 4-year-old Pug weighing approximately 15 pounds. With her charming little face and compact size, she's ready to find a family who will give her the love, comfort, and companionship every dog deserves.

Pugs are often known for their affectionate, playful, outgoing, and people-loving personalities. They tend to form strong bonds with their families and enjoy being included in everyday activities. Whether it's relaxing on the couch, following their favorite person around the house, or enjoying a little playtime, Pugs often make wonderful companions.

At four years old, Dizirella is a young adult who has moved beyond the early puppy stage while still having plenty of life ahead of her.

She would benefit from a family that enjoys spending quality time with their dog and can provide gentle daily exercise, mental enrichment, positive-reinforcement training, and plenty of companionship.

Because Pugs are a flat-faced breed, Dizirella will also need a family that understands the importance of protecting her from overheating and excessive physical exertion.

With the right home, this little girl has the opportunity to enjoy a wonderful life filled with affection, security, and companionship.

Training, Adjustment & What to Expect

Like any rescue dog, Dizirella will need time to adjust to her new home, learn her family's routine, and become comfortable with her surroundings.

Rescue dogs may arrive with basic training at best, so adopters should be prepared to continue working on house manners as needed, leash walking, basic commands, recall, calm greetings, and household boundaries.

Pugs can be clever and food-motivated, making positive-reinforcement training, patience, and consistency especially helpful.

Short, enjoyable training sessions and a predictable daily routine can help Dizirella settle into her new home while strengthening her bond with her family.

The 3-3-3 Rule

3 Days: Time to decompress and begin feeling safe.

3 Weeks: Time to understand her new household routine.

3 Months: Time to build trust, settle in, and begin feeling truly at home.

These are guidelines rather than deadlines. Every rescue dog adjusts at their own pace.

Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care

Dizirella's spay, vaccination, and microchip status have not yet been confirmed.

Her adopter should review her available medical records with a veterinarian and determine whether she needs vaccinations, spaying, microchipping, parasite prevention, or other routine veterinary care.

As a Pug, Dizirella has some important breed-specific needs.

Breathing & Heat Sensitivity: Pugs are brachycephalic, meaning their short facial structure can make breathing and temperature regulation more difficult. Dizirella should be kept cool, especially during warm weather, and should never be pushed into strenuous exercise. A veterinarian should assess her breathing and discuss any concerns.

Healthy Weight: Maintaining a healthy body weight is particularly important for Pugs because excess weight can increase breathing difficulties and put additional strain on their joints.

Skin, Eyes & Dental Care: Pugs may require additional attention to facial folds, eye health, and dental hygiene. Regular veterinary examinations can help identify and manage potential concerns.

Her ongoing care should also include quality nutrition, gentle exercise, appropriate grooming, nail care, routine wellness examinations, and veterinary treatment whenever necessary.
