Aura's journey began with uncertainty, but also with hope.

She and her littermates were left outside a local police station when they were just young puppies. Thankfully, they were found quickly and brought to safety before they had to face life on their own. Although someone chose not to keep them, Aura now has the opportunity to find the loving forever family every puppy deserves.

Today, Aura is a happy, beautiful, and playful puppy whose tail is almost always wagging. She has a cheerful personality and enjoys making friends with everyone she meets. She loves spending time with people, playing with other dogs, and exploring the world around her with curiosity and excitement.

One of Aura's favorite things is water. Whether she's splashing in a kiddie pool, enjoying bath time, or playing with the hose on a warm day, she happily embraces every opportunity to get wet. Her playful spirit and affectionate nature make her a wonderful companion for an active family looking for a puppy to grow up alongside.

As an Australian Kelpie / Carolina Dog Mix, Aura is expected to grow into an intelligent, loyal, and athletic companion. Australian Kelpies are known for their eagerness to learn, trainability, and devotion, while Carolina Dogs are admired for their adaptability, awareness, and strong family bonds. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect

Like all puppies, Aura is still learning about the world around her. Her new family should expect normal puppy behaviors such as chewing, teething, learning house manners, and discovering new experiences every day.

Aura is intelligent, eager to learn, and enjoys being with people, making this the perfect age to begin building good habits through positive reinforcement training.

Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care

Bringing home a puppy is a lifelong commitment that includes proper veterinary care, training, exercise, and companionship.

As part of responsible pet ownership, Aura will need:

Completion of her puppy vaccination schedule and routine wellness examinations

Spaying if it has not already been completed, following your veterinarian's recommendation

Monthly flea, tick, heartworm, and parasite prevention

A nutritious diet that supports healthy growth and development

Daily physical exercise and mental enrichment

Continued obedience training and socialization

A safe, loving indoor home where she is treated as a cherished member of the family

Because Aura is still growing, strenuous repetitive exercise and excessive jumping should be limited until her joints have fully developed. We also recommend scheduling a wellness visit with your veterinarian shortly after adoption to establish care and ensure she continues to thrive.
