Meet Copper!

Copper is a big, sweet boy who doesn't quite realize how big he is yet! Because of that, he would do best with someone who's patient and willing to spend a little time helping him learn and adjust.

Right now, Copper knows how to sit and is very food motivated, which is great news - that means he's likely to pick up new skills quickly with some positive reinforcement. He listens well and responds when redirected. For example, he's a bit of a counter-surfer, but gets down right away when told.

When outside, Copper stays fairly close and enjoys being near his people. He recently met children ages 6 and 4 and wasn't overly interested in them. The only concern is that he may jump when excited (mostly because he wants to be close to his person), so a home willing to work on polite greetings would be ideal.

Copper is also good with other dogs and generally doesn't pay much attention to them - he's more focused on his people than on making dog friends.

Copper is a loving, attentive dog who just needs guidance, structure, and someone ready to help him become the best boy he can be.
