AC - Sarge

Name: Sarge *Age: 5 years old*Current Weight: 73 lbs*Adoption fee: Sponsored Meet Sarge - aka Sarg-ento, aka 73 pounds of energy with little understanding of personal space because he wants to be one with his person. This Catahoula/Aussie mix is what happens when you take pure joy and say "go live your truth." Sarge doesn't just walk into a room-he bursts with enthusiasm. Think: furry missile. Impact zone: wherever he lands. Now here's the plot twist-this absolutely gorgeous boy is wicked smart. Like, "he could probably do your taxes if he had thumbs" smart. He knows heel, sit, down, stay, look, place, waits at doorways like a polite Victorian gentleman. He walks wonderfully as shown in the videos. Trainers love him. Volunteers adore him. After 3 years at the adoption center it's his time to be in a real home.Sarge is your dream adventure buddy if your dream includes cardio, hiking, or just hanging out. He's already packed. Long walks? He's leading you there at a comfortable pace. He's got abundant energy and needs a human who can provide him exercise and mental stimulation (remember he's wicked smart!).And just when you think he's all gas, no brakes surprise! He's also a stage-five clinger. This73-pound linebacker will attempt to fold himself into your lap like a delicate little teacup puppy. You will question how this is physically possible. He will not. He absolutely loves being close to his person or people. Now for the honest fine print: Sarge loves HARD. "I will simply become one with you" kind of love. It's hilarious. It's endearing. It's also... a lot. He can be a little "stranger danger" at first he's not handing out trust like free samples, but once you're in? You're IN. Because of his size, enthusiasm, and tendency to express emotions, he would do best in an adult-only home. And while he's mingled before, Sarge has decided he'd really prefer to be your one and only pet-no roommates, no sharing, just him as the main character 24/7.At the end of the day, Sarge is a wildly lovable, ridiculously funny, brilliantly trained, enthsiastic best friend who will keep you laughing, moving, and occasionally bracing for impact. He's not for the faint of heartbut if you can handle his high energy, you're getting the most loyal, entertaining, larger-than-life companion out there.Sarge is currently accepting applications for his forever human (and part-time stunt double) at our adoption center in Brewster, NY.
