Shaka's Freedom Ride!! Red listed sweet boy Shaka (2 yr old neutered Dutchie located in CO) made it out of the shelter! Picked up stray, the shelter was not doing him any good! Shaka made it his amazing foster Laurie Lambot and is doing great and is really starting to show his true personality now that he's out of the shelter environment. After just one week, he's already made noticeable progress on leash - less pulling, staying closer to his handler, and he's mostly stopped biting the leash. He does well with other dogs, though his play style is on the rough-and-rowdy side, which is typical for young working breeds. He rides beautifully in the car, and with his thick coat, he is absolutely thriving in the Colorado winter (totally unfazed by the cold!).Still working on: Reactivity to cyclists Slow, thoughtful introductions with men (he's improving steadily) Housetraining Managing mouthy, playful behavior Ideal Home:Shaka will do best with an experienced handler, in an active home, and no young children.
