Ahri

Ahri came to the shelter on 8/7/2026 as an owner surrender. Her owners' lives underwent some big changes and they could no longer give her the time and attention she deserves. She is a mature 7 to 8 year old white German shepherd mix, although she looks close to a purebred. She could also be mixed with lab and husky. We have been working with Ahri and giving her time to adjust to the big changes in her life and we think she's ready to move onto a new home. We will be getting her fully vet checked and updated on her vaccinations soon. She is already spayed and microchipped. Our volunteers have done an excellent job on cleaning her up, too. She's been brushed out and bathed. Her adoption fee is $125.

Ahri is an extremely shy and nervous girl. Her whole world has been changed so it's understandable. She is very sensitive and intelligent. She's looking for a very experienced and secure environment. Ahri will not be the type to jump into someone's lap right away, for sure, but with time and a lot of patience, she'll become a person's most loyal friend. She has had basic training and has done okay with male dogs of similar size. She has done okay with kids, too. Cats? We're not sure.

We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South.

We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventatives, and spayed or neutered.
