About This Cat
What WeRescue Scout knows about Moet’ the polydactyl
Moet thrives as an only cat with an attentive owner who can spend time playing and cuddling with him daily — he's a true people-focused companion who loves interactive toys and lap time. His home should provide stability and patience as his digestive health continues to recover, with commitment to his prescription diet and ongoing veterinary care.
- Requires prescription diet (Hills Biome canned food); digestive system still recovering from time outside.
- Should be an only cat — not suitable for homes with other cats.
- Needs someone home regularly; does not do well with extended alone time.
WeRescue Scout summarized this from the shelter's original listing and may include estimates. Please contact New York City Cat Coalition to confirm any details before adopting.

About Moet’ the polydactyl
New York City Cat Coalition
RescueNYC Cat Coalition Mission Statement: We rescue cats and kittens from the streets or from owner surrender, bring them for needed veterinary services, assess them, give them love, and find them good and loving forever homes. Our volunteers feed several feral cat colonies, do TNR trapping, provide winter shelters. Our volunteers foster cats, maintain a number of cats who reside at the cat center at the Pelham Manor Petsmart, and we bring cats every Sunday to the Scarsdale Petsmart, and participate in National Adoption Weekend events. We follow up with adopters and will go to their homes to help 'catify' to help the cats adjust more easily if necessary. We are a group of people who are passionate about giving cats kindness and love and compassion. The Bronx does not have an animal shelter, and the animals there are severely under-served. In all five buroughs of New York City, there are only three animal shelters, and heartbreakingly, they euthanize most of the cats. We are doing what we can to save as many cats as our small organization can.
