Lucca's story starts with resilience.
Lucca was found as a stray in central Louisiana with an old, untreated fracture in her front right leg. Unfortunately, the injury had gone too long without care, and amputation was the only option.
Since then, Lucca has made an incredible recovery-and she's living proof that three legs don't slow down a Malinois. She moves with confidence, keeps up just fine, and approaches life with enthusiasm.
At around 2 years old and a petite 43 lbs, Lucca is a smaller girl with a big heart. She's sweet, affectionate, and loves being close to her people. She's friendly with both dogs and humans, and has even done well around her trainer's cat.
Lucca is currently working with a professional trainer, focusing on obedience and impulse control. She thrives with clear communication and structure, and when given that guidance, she really shines. Without it, she can feel a little unsure-so she'll do best in a home that can provide consistency and leadership.
Because she's a tripod, it's important that Lucca stays lean and fit to protect her remaining joints-but she's active, capable, and ready for adventure.
Currently located in Pennsylvania, Lucca can travel to the right home.
She's a loving, loyal companion who's already overcome so much-and she's ready to find a family that will give her the stability and connection she deserves.
