Bacardi

Bacardi is a playful, curious sweetheart who loves having fun! She is a little guarded at first with people or in new settings, but can be drawn out easily with wand toys and lickable cat treats. Bacardi enjoys being petted or getting head scratches and will begin purring as soon as she is touched! However, she is not quite ready to be held or snuggled, preferring instead to be the perfect proximity friend. This charming girl will need extra time and patience as she learns to trust people, but she continues to make good progress in her foster home, little by little! Because of her more tentative nature, Bacardi would do best in a quieter home with adults and older children who can help her build her confidence. Slow and calm introductions, as well as starting her off in a smaller space with fewer hiding spots (like a bathroom) will help ensure a smooth transition to her new home!Bacardi was trapped with 4 siblings at 10 weeks old. She and one sister have been very slow to warm up and have been in foster homes for 4 months. It has been a slow process but we are making great progress. She enjoys being pet but hates being picked up. She enjoys a wand toy and playing helps her loosen up! She purrs a lot once she settles in. She also loves Churu treats so this is a great way to get her used to climbing into your lap. She really likes other kitties and another social, confident, cat-friendly young kitty would show her the ropes. Her sister is Seagram and their friend is Whopper Jr. All cats are spayed/neutered, current on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped, FELV/FIV tested, dewormed and started on monthly flea preventative.
