Sam is an eight year old, calm and affectionate boy looking for his forever home!Sam's got quite the regal look and he knows it! He loves to lounge on the tallest spot in the room. Sam likes to spend the day in whatever room his people are in, on the closest flat surface where he can stretch out to his full magnificent length and present his belly for pets. He also enjoys napping in cozy spots, like under an armchair or in his travel carrier (as long as it's full of blankets). This big boy absolutely loves to be brushed, particularly on his chin and his belly. He enjoys playing as an ambush predator: chasing string toys through tunnels and around corners. Luckily, Sam completely understands that toys are for playing and hands and feet are only for cuddling. Sam likes to show off his impressive height by stretching as far as he can along walls and doorframes, he has a particular fascination with mirrors and will sometimes try and dig through to his reflection. Sam is a very diligent biscuit maker, and his ideal set up is to lay right along your side with a blanket under his paws for biscuits and your arm/hand/foot as his pillow. He is a very affectionate cat and does not like to be separated from his people when they're still at home, and will cry at closed doors, otherwise he's not especially vocal. However, he doesn't seem to experience any separation anxiety when he's alone in the house. He really is the perfect boy, ideal for someone who wants a solo cat.Sam is mostly content to lounge around, but he'll engage in short bouts of playtime when he feels like it! He especially enjoys chasing wand toys and when he wants to play independently he'll enjoy kicking his catnip filled banana toy. He likes to sleep as late as his humans do, and he'll take himself off to bed if his people stay up later than he wants to. He loves to run up and flop over for belly rubs whenever you get up to move about the house.Sam is currently living in an apartment with one person. He has free roam of the space and has been non destructive, hasn't eaten houseplants, and has made no escape attempts. His only demand - a large litterbox! He's a large boy and requires the extra room to be comfortable!Sam's ideal home would be one where he can be the only cat in the house. He loves to hang out with his humans and would much prefer if he didn't have to battle for attention! Sam would be a good fit for someone who works from home, as he likes to play coworker and be in the same space as his humans.
