When Phoenix was just a young fella, a good samaritan witnessed him being hit by a car. He had extensive injuries to his back end that required surgery but he rebounded quickly. Since that injury in 2021 Phoenix remains a fully mobile and active cat that can jump, climb, and play with ease, however he doesn't have full control of his bowels. With a consistent diet he has maintained small firm stools that will sometimes land outside of the litter box. He is fully litter box trained otherwise.

Phoenix has tested positive for FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus).While this can mean a shorter lifespan, they can still live happy, fulfilling lives with the right care - regular vet checkups, a stress-free environment, and good nutrition to support their immune systems. Cats like Phoenix don't see themselves as any different, they just need someone willing to give them a chance. In return, Phoenix will offer endless endless companionship, gentle cuddles, and his sweet personality.

Phoenix has previously lived with other cats and does very well with laid-back companions who match his easygoing energy. Because he is FeLV+, he would need to live with another FeLV+ cat or a cat that has been vaccinated against the virus. That said, he would also be perfectly happy as your one and only, soaking up all the love for himself.

He enjoys playtime but is just as content curled up beside you, relaxing and enjoying your company. Phoenix is the kind of cat who will gladly accept every bit of love and attention you have to give, and then ask for more!

Phoenix's adoption fee is $85 and includes his neuter, microchip, current vaccinations, and a FeLV/FIV test. Last Hope requires that all animals be kept as indoor only pets and that adopters have a history of having kept their pets altered and current on vaccinations and preventatives.
