Meet
Chico
, a handsome 1.5-year-old Pitbull mix with the sweetest soft-toned coloring - a creamy tan and white coat, slate-grey muzzle, and a big Pittie grin guaranteed to make you smile right back! This young gentleman is wonderfully polite with our volunteers and has been equally polite when meeting other dogs through the fence. He's on the bigger side and would benefit from a strong handler to help get him out and about, but once he's out of his kennel, he settles beautifully and is eager to explore everything the world has to offer. Chico has moderate energy and, after he gets some of those initial zoomies out, he's perfectly content to calmly and politely settle down close to his person. ❤️His kennel presence doesn't show off the real Chico - he can seem stressed inside, but once he's out enjoying some freedom, his sweet personality shines through, and with a furever family willing to give him that chance, this boy has endless potential to blossom! Will that be with you?




-1 year 4 month old tan and white Pitbull mix

-73 pound neutered male

-may need the standard round of shots and preventatives before he can go home with you, but the shelter can likely help with this!

-came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on 8/5/26 as an owner surrender, due to landlord issues

-stressed in the kennel, and comes across as high energy, but once he's out and about, he calms down beautifully and shows off his great manners

-wants to socialize so badly, would do fab with the right intros, especially with active dogs around his size
