Dutch
, a 5-year-old German Shepherd with a gorgeous fluffy coat glowing in shades of rich red and gold, perfectly finished with a dark muzzle! This handsome boy is a dream for shepherd lovers and an absolute darling with people - sweet, mellow, gentle, and always ready to soak up every bit of attention and affection you'll give him. However, Dutch should be the king of his castle as the only dog in the home, where he can enjoy being the center of your world and bond closely with his people. He's clearly had a rough time before arriving at the shelter and is a little underweight, so he could use some extra meals, yummy snacks, and plenty of TLC to help him get back to his best self. He's also more than ready for a spa day, and we can only imagine how magnificent and soft that beautiful coat will be once he's feeling his best! Despite everything he's been through, Dutch still has so much love to give and is ready for a forever family who will cherish him the way he deserves.

-5 year old red and black German Shepherd

-62 pound neutered male - but could definitely stand to gain some weight to be his best self

-may need the standard round of shots and preventatives before he can go home with you, but the shelter can likely help with this!

-came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on 7/18/26 as a stray

-would do best as an only dog in the home, but adores people and gets along with everyone human smashingly!

-total lovebug, even after all he's been through - just wants to give and receive the attention and affection he's always deserved
