Karen Smith is a 5‑month‑old grey and white kitten who arrived at the rescue with her siblings. Like many young cats in shelter environments, she unfortunately caught ringworm shortly after intake and spent about a month in quarantine while she healed. Even though her start was a little rocky, Karen handled everything with quiet resilience and gentle curiosity.

Now fully recovered, Karen is ready to begin her search for a forever home. She's a sweet, shy girl who is still learning that love, pets, and human affection are safe and comforting. Karen watches everything with wide eyes and genuine interest, and while she may hang back at first, she warms up beautifully with patience and kindness. Her curiosity shines through in small, brave moments - slow approaches, soft purrs, and tentative head bumps that show she wants to trust.

Karen would thrive in a home with another confident, friendly cat who can help her continue to grow. She takes comfort in feline companionship and blossoms when she has a buddy to follow and learn from. Because of her young age, she does well with kids, cats, and dogs, making her a wonderful fit for a calm, supportive household.

Karen Smith's adoption fee is $75, which helps support their medical care and preparation for adoption.

Please note: All of our animals are spayed/neutered and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations. Each pet also receives a behavioral assessment to help us better understand the type of home they may thrive in. However, it's important to remember that the results may not fully reflect an animal's true personality, as shelter and foster environments can be stressful.
