Aubergine is a people-loving dachshund-chihuahua mix with the best ears in town. She loves to follow me around the house and wants to be involved no matter what I'm doing. If I get up from the couch to go to the bathroom, you can bet she's coming too. She has all of the best qualities of a small lap dog companion, but she is still learning certain things. She isn't yet potty trained and doesn't know any commands, so she would love an owner with the patience to teach her the skills she needs to succeed in a home. She has been doing a lot of owner-seeking since she arrived a few days ago (waiting by the door, wanting to go outside to stand and look around), and I think that speaks to the great bond she will have one day in her forever home. She loves having company and will so far only eat her food if I'm sitting next to her. She sleeps through the night in an exercise pen without a peep. Aubergine is ready for someone to give her the love she deserves!
