Cassian may share a name with a Star Wars rebel, but this guy's mission is simple: pets, treats, and lots of love and affection. He arrived injured and a little unsure of people at first, but has since revealed himself to be gentle and sweet, and recently did great meeting another cat. When you first enter his visiting room, you'll often find him hiding under a pile of blankets, but he'll come out with just a little coaxing. You'll win him over right away with cheek scratches and Churu. Once he's comfortable, he'll settle in for as many pets as you're willing to give, occasionally offering up a slow blink to let you know you're doing a good job and hanging out on your lap. He also enjoys chasing ribbon toys and any interactive play. He just needs a calm, quiet home and adopters willing to go slow as he settles in.

Cassian sustained pelvic fractures prior to arriving at Oakland Animal Services. While he has been healing well and has been cleared medically for adoption, he should have a general health exam with a veterinarian as soon as possible after adoption.
