Hello, I'm Milkshake!

I`m a 1.5 year old female that just arrived here at Greenhill! I came into Greenhill very overweight, and will need a home that can give me lots of indoor space to roam to keep me active, and can monitor my diet to get me down to a healthy weight. My friends at Greenhill can chat with you about my weight loss plan! I`m quite nervous and would thrive in a quiet, consistent environment with adults and teens that can respect my space and give me time to warm up! I`ve already been spayed and I`m ready to be adopted!

Domestic rabbits are delightful companion animals. They are inquisitive, intelligent, sociable and affectionate. Well cared for indoor rabbits can live for 10+ years. Adopting a rabbit, therefore, is a long-term commitment.

So, how do you care for a rabbit?

There are several considerations to keep in mind when you`re the pet parent of a rabbit. These include:

·Pet rabbits require safe, clean housing, a nutritious diet, daily exercise, grooming, and annual veterinary care.
·It`s important to provide daily social interaction with your rabbit through play time, grooming, and exploration.
·Rabbit-proofing your home helps keep your pet safe from injuries, toxins, and accidents. Rabbits love to chew and dig, so rabbit proofing is essential. Protect wires, cover baseboards, remove toxic plants, provide safe chew toys, and supervise your furry friend when they are out of their enclosure.
·Rabbits are very clean animals. They like to go to the bathroom in the same spot, which is helpful for litter box training. Litter box training is a great way to help keep their environment clean and decrease the daily maintenance for you.

Observing your rabbit`s behavior daily can help catch any signs of illnesses that require prompt medical attention. As prey animals, these changes in behavior can be very subtle.

My adoption fee includes a certificate for a free vet exam. Cardboard carriers are $10.

I came into the shelter as a surrender and the above information is based on my previous history and my behavior seen while in the shelters care. Expect to learn more about me after adoption.
