Hi there… my name is Charlie.
I'm a 2-year-old Heeler mix, and I've got a story to tell you. It starts when I was just a tiny puppy in Central Arizona. Back then, everything felt big and new, but I was lucky-I found a home and a family. For a while, life was pretty great. I learned how to be part of a pack, how to love my people, and how to be a good boy.
But sometimes life changes in ways we don't understand.
My family had to move, and when they did, there wasn't a safe fence to keep me close anymore. Heelers like me… we're smart, curious, and we like to explore. Without a proper place to stay safe, they made the hard decision to bring me back so I could find a home that fits me better. I don't blame them-but starting over has been a little scary.
When I first got back here, I felt unsure about everything. New smells, new people, new sounds… it was a lot. I spent most of my time tucked away in my doghouse where I felt safe. For about a week, I didn't really want to come out. I just needed time.
Then something amazing happened.
They introduced me to a couple of other dogs-and everything changed. It was like someone turned the lights back on in my world. I remembered how to be a dog again. I followed their lead, learned from them, and slowly started to feel brave again. Now? I absolutely love being around other dogs.
That's actually really important for you to know about me: I need dog friends. Not just want-we're talking need. I'm happiest and most confident when I've got one or two buddies to show me the ropes. I watch them to figure out what's safe, who's friendly, and where the fun is. Boys, girls-it doesn't matter to me. I just want a couple of companions who will let me tag along and be part of their pack.
With people, I'm still a little shy at first. I might hang back and take my time getting to know you. But if you're patient with me and let me warm up at my own pace, I promise I'll try my best. Having other dogs around really helps me trust faster-they help me understand that everything's okay.
I've been told I'm house trained (pretty proud of that), and I've already taken care of all the important stuff. I'm up to date on my vaccinations, I've been microchipped, and I'm neutered. That means I'm all set and ready to go home with you-no extra stops needed.
What I'm really looking for is a place where I can feel safe, understood, and included. A home with a secure yard would be wonderful, but more than anything, I need a family who understands that I might take a little time to blossom… and that I'll do my very best once I do.
And of course… I need my dog friends.
If you think you might be the right person (or family) for me, I'd really love the chance to meet you. You can set up an appointment by emailing

I may start out a little quiet… but with the right pack, I promise I've got a whole lot of love waiting to shine.
