Cinnamon

Meet Cinnamon 🐾🤎
Cinnamon is a beautiful German Shepherd looking for an experienced, committed home where she can continue building confidence and learning to thrive. She was surrendered by her previous owner due to behavioral concerns, including resource guarding people. Her previous owner recommends that Cinnamon be the only dog in the home.

Once Cinnamon gets to know you, her affectionate side shines through! She loves playing fetch and enjoys splashing around in the water. 🎾💦 Since arriving at the shelter, staff have seen improvement as she's adjusted to her surroundings. She can display some anxious and insecure behaviors typical of a dog who needs time to decompress and feel comfortable.

Cinnamon's previous owner reported that she resource guards people. While staff have not observed food guarding at the shelter, her reported history is important for potential adopters to understand. She'll need someone experienced with dog behavior who can provide clear boundaries, consistent training, and positive guidance. She also pulls hard on leash, so continued leash training will be important.

Cinnamon has so much potential with the right person- If you're experienced with German Shepherds and ready to invest in her training and confidence, come meet Cinnamon and see if you're the right match for one another! 🐶
