Baklava is a beautiful 4-year-old Siberian Husky with one striking blue eye and one captivating eye that's both blue and brown. What this gorgeous girl needs most is a family willing to look beyond her beauty and see the sweet soul underneath.
Shelter life has been overwhelming for Baklava. She is understandably nervous, confused, and frightened by all the unfamiliar sights, sounds, and activity around her. Loud noises can be especially scary for her, and she is still learning that the world can be a safe place.
Despite her fears, Baklava has shown what a gentle and trusting dog she is. She allows all handling even when she's feeling unsure.

Baklava has done well in playgroups with other dogs and would greatly benefit from a calm, friendly, and confident canine companion in her new home. Having another dog around could help her learn that new experiences aren't so frightening and help build her confidence.
Baklava is looking for a patient, understanding family that will give her the time she needs to decompress, settle in, and learn to trust. Her future family should be committed to keeping her safe, managing her environment carefully, and helping her gain confidence through positive experiences and gentle encouragement.
