9/28/26 Foster Feedback: Meet Howard, a professional cuddler, devoted shadow, and firm believer that personal space is wildly overrated.

Howard is a very sweet boy who wants one thing in life: to be wherever his people are. Same room? Yes. Same couch? Even better. Ideally touching you? Perfect. Eating? No problem, he will happily share your plate. Women are his preferred choice, but men will do if absolutely no one else is available. He's looking for someone who appreciates a canine sidekick with absolutely no interest in independence.

Howard also has some opinions about being left alone. He will protest his kennel confinement with enough enthusiasm that shared-wall neighbors probably won't appreciate his performances. The good news is that he does eventually settle. The bad news is that he would like everyone to know he was VERY unhappy about it first.

Cats? Howard thinks they're perfectly acceptable decorative objects as long as they remain stationary. Unfortunately, cats have a pesky habit of moving, running and playing, and Howard is decidedly not a fan. A cat-free home will be the best choice for everyone.

If you want a sweet, snuggly little shadow who will make sure you never have to go to the bathroom alone again, Howard is ready to apply for the position.

9/10/2026 Foster Feedback: Howard has been with us for about a month. He has been a very sweet houseguest.

Howard is fully potty trained, he has not had an accident in the house since we brought him home.
Howard is good with our 2 large dogs and sometimes will play the chase game with one of them. He has not met a cat while in my care.

He seems friendly with the strangers he meets. I am unsure about kids, but I think he would be good with respectful kids, like most little dogs.
He is not a nonsense barker but when people come to the door he will sound the alarm.

Howard does not like to be in the crate, we are continuing to work on it, and he does sleep in it over night. He will often bark when we put him in it both overnight and during the day. He does quiet down but does often wake up and bark during the night. We have left him out of the crate a few times when we have gone to the store, and he has kept the house clean and not destroyed anything. On camera he appears to be just resting calmly. If an adopter is going to crate him he should not go to a home with shared walls.

Howard loves to snuggle, and his favorite is curling up on a blanket with his people in a recliner. He will make a great addition to any home!
