JUPITER

WATCH MY VIDEO...Jupiter is a beautiful 3-year-old boy who is hoping his next home will truly be his forever home. Sadly, his owner could no longer afford to care for him and made the difficult decision to surrender him to us. The cost of caring for a pet is an important consideration for anyone thinking about adoption, and Jupiter is now looking for a family who is prepared to make that lifelong commitment to him. His former owner told us that Jupiter loves people, and we've certainly seen that sweet side of him here. He didn't get out much in his previous life, so having a family who takes him for walks, plays with him and includes him in everyday adventures will be a wonderful new experience. It may take him a little time to adjust to having more activity and stimulation in his life, but we think it will be a very welcome change for this wonderful guy. Jupiter has been understandably nervous since arriving at the shelter, but he's making progress every day as he becomes more comfortable with his new surroundings. In fact, we're already seeing his personality emerge! These days, he greets us happily with a toy in his mouth, which is a pretty adorable way to say hello. Jupiter likes to alert when someone comes to the door and enjoys playing with his favorite dog bones and durable toys. And if you're looking for the quickest way to his heart, try a soft bacon or jerky treat. Those are definitely favorites! What Jupiter seems to want most is attention, companionship and someone to make him part of the family. He is friendly and happy, and although the shelter environment is still a little overwhelming for him, he is showing us more of himself every day. Jupiter has spent too much of his life missing out on walks, playtime and simply being part of a family. Now he's ready to discover all those things and so much more.This handsome boy isn't asking for anything extravagant. He just wants someone who will spend time with him, care for him and love him for the rest of his life. If you're ready to give Jupiter the fresh start he deserves, come meet him. That toy in his mouth just might be his way of saying, `I'm packed and ready to go home.`
