Meet Bumpette!Mastiff on the paperwork, short-legged sweetheart in person!Bumpette is a young girl with a unique dapple coat, an adorable build, and a shy personality that is still unfolding. She may not be your typical Mastiff, but that just makes her all the more special!Bumpette is still finding her footing in the shelter environment. The world can feel like a pretty big place when you're still figuring things out, and this sweet girl is taking her time learning that everything isn't quite so scary.Even walking on leash appears to be a new experience for Bumpette. Thankfully, our wonderful shelter volunteers are helping her learn this skill, one step at a time. She's still learning how to dog, and that's okay! Nobody expects her to have it all figured out just yet.So far, Bumpette hasn't shown much interest in playing with the canine crowd in the play yard. She's got other things on her mind right now, like figuring out her surroundings and building confidence. We're hopeful that as she settles in and feels more comfortable, we'll get to see that silly side emerge.Bumpette will appreciate a patient, gentle family willing to let her blossom at her own pace. She doesn't need someone to rush her-just someone willing to give her the time, kindness, and encouragement she needs to discover how wonderful life can be.Bumpette recently met some social dogs at our shelter and did fine. She wasn't ready to play, but we hope that as she gets more experience in our shelter playgroups, she'll be ready to show us her silly side with other dogs. She is sharing a room with another young female dog. Looking for a buddy for your dog? Bring him/her to the shelter for a meet and greet and see if we're a match!
