LUNA

09/30/26 14:43 Luna is doing great after bathing with volunteers - her fur is full and healthy, and her itch control medication (cytopoint) was successful in resolving her itch. Her ear infection is also resolving. She is feeling wonderful and is looking for her forever home who can keep her skin healthy and help her lose weight.09/23/26 10:57 Luna is back in shelter - this sweet girl is obese, and battles some chronic skin allergies (itchy with some saliva staining from licking/chewing). The shelter environment is challenging for weight loss. She is on overweight management diet, but is not losing weight, and needs urgent rescue who can help her lose weight, and can provide monthly high-quality flea preventative. She will likely need cytopoint once monthly or similar medical management to prevent frequent itching. She will also need close monitoring of her ears long term to monitor for any recurrent infections. Ms Luna also has a large lipoma at her chest that is not cancerous but may grow and if ever causes difficulty with walking, it may need to be removed surgicallly for her comfort. 11/06/21 15:13 *She seems awesome with kids!! She was very loving and patient with a 5yr old girl that she met (and went up to willingly in the lobby). The little girl was very frontal with Snow with head pets. Snow was very very gentle and calm. She seemed to enjoy the pets from the child. I should also note that the child was gentle and was taking direction very well from her parents. *Seems interested in cats but not aggrerssive or fixated on the cats. Seems more curious. *She is non reactive in the play yard with other dogs (large and small. Even if they are very vocal with her. *Very interested in whichever lucky human she is with. Seeks cuddles/affection and attention from you! *Walks well on leash. Does not pull and with the right snacks, seems treat motivated.
