Bobby

Hi there! My name is Bobby and I'm a 1-year-old, neutered male, Pit Bull mix that currently weighs about 65lbs. I'm a rambunctious love bug that enjoys spending time with my people. I'm a big, strong boy, so I'm hoping for a family that understands bully boys like me and is prepared to give me plenty of love, exercise, and training. Since I'm so big and strong, I prefer households that are adult only or with children that are 10 or older. I've been fairly polite when meeting dogs, but I'd like a chance to meet the entire household including any resident dogs before I officially join your family. I recently went on a hike with a PHS Volunteer! Here's how I did:
I took Bobby on the hike today. He got into my car easily for the ride over to Coyote Point. He was very calm in the car and enjoyed sniffing the fresh air on the way. We waited a while to get the hike started and during this time Bobby was calm. He was not reactive towards any of the other dogs - even the ones barking. Once the hike got started, Bobby was very easy to walk. He walked with a loose leash the entire way and was not reactive to birds, dogs, bikes, strollers, runners and joggers. He was a perfect gentleman. He enjoyed taking in the scents on the trail. We went to the beach which didn't seem to excite him too much - not a water dog. Bobby is very treat motivated and mindful of his handler. Overall lovable dog!
