Physical Description
Finch is a petite short hair tabby. She is about 8 months old. She has a little crook at the end of her tail.
Personality
Finch is affectionately called Baby Cat here with us because she needs attention like a baby. She is always with someone. She wants to be held to look out the window on a sunny day. She crawls up your leg to ask to be picked up. She insists on watching you in the shower and jumps in as soon as the water is turned off. If you are the kind of person that needs some quiet alone time- not the cat for you! She loves to play and loves to explore the front yard. She is indoor only with the exception of supervised time. She must be adopted into a home with another cat. Sure she wants to play but mostly she wants a cat mom also. She loves to be groomed by other kitties.
She is very submissive to other cats, whether they are being friendly or not, so her new playmates should get along well with other cats.
She lives for wet food breakfasts and will let you know if she thinks you have forgotten. She has a tiny baby scream meow that just melts your heart. Shes clumsy as a baby as well. She falls off counters and misses jumps on the couch quite regularly but still keeps going. She will make it onto your lap at whatever cost. Sun patches are her favorite to lounge in, like most cats. She sounds too good to be still waiting for her forever home right? Finch has heart disease and will need follow up care and echocardiograms with cardiology every ~6 months to monitor her disease progression. She still plays and lives a normal life but will need to be closely monitored. She is an established patient at UC Davis and at her last check she did not have any further heart changes. She is not taking any medications besides her monthly flea prevention but that may change over time. There's just no way to know when, if, or how bad her progression may be. But it doesn't change that she is a wonderful and affection little lady who deserves a family of her own.
We are happy to answer additional questions about her condition for anyone interested in adopting her.

Kittens have been given their first shots of FVRCP, adults are up-to-date on vaccinations, and all cats have been Feline Leukemia tested (negative) and micro chipped. The fee to adopt is $150 for one kitten or $100 for adults over 1 year (the fee helps cover these costs and the cost of the microchip registration). A reduced fee is available for adopting a second cat or kitten
